Summary
Effective May 29, 2023, three types of behavioral health providers (Behavioral Health Residential Facility, Integrated Clinics, and Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinics) must register as high-risk provider types and meet additional requirements including fingerprint background checks, application fees, and site visits. This applies to new applications and existing provider revalidations.
Action Required
By May 29, 2023: Behavioral health providers must complete high-risk provider registration including fingerprint-based criminal background checks, pay application fees, and undergo site visits during initial applications and revalidations.
