Summary
Effective January 1, 2025, Kansas Medicaid (KMAP) requires all providers sharing a Business Tax ID Number to enroll as 'Individual within a Group' (IG) and associate with a Group using a Type 2 NPI. This enrollment requirement is mandatory for payment processing but excludes FQHC, RHC, and IHC providers not enrolled as Groups.
Action Required
By January 1, 2025: Providers sharing a Business Tax ID Number must complete Individual within a Group (IG) enrollment with Kansas Medicaid and associate with a Group using Type 2 NPI. Contact KMAP provider enrollment to complete required enrollment forms. Claims may be denied without proper IG enrollment status.
