Kansas Medicaid (KMAP) is removing billing code T2029 from the list of Frail Elderly Home and Community Based Services that require Electronic Visit Verification, effective February 6, 2025. The remaining valid codes for FE services include S5125, S5130, S5135, S5190, T1001, T2025, T2040, and their modifiers.
Action Required
By February 6, 2025: Billing team must remove T2029 from Electronic Visit Verification systems for Kansas Medicaid Frail Elderly services. Update billing software to reject T2029 for FE HCBS claims and ensure EVV is only applied to the remaining valid codes (S5125, S5130, S5135, S5190, T1001, T2025, T2040). Monitor KanCare MCO implementation dates as they may vary from the KMAP effective date.
