Services must be MCO-authorized, non-duplicative of hospital care, and documented in the EVV system.

Action Required

Action needed
By January 1, 2025: Billing team must establish workflow for MCO authorization of Personal Care Services during hospital stays for PD and FE waiver participants. Ensure all PCS providers are waiver-approved and coordinate with hospital staff to avoid duplicate billing. Update documentation requirements to include EVV system entries with time in/out for hospital-based PCS delivery.
