Kansas Medicaid (KMAP) has updated the Medicare Severity Diagnosis-Related Groups (MS-DRG) weights and rates for hospital services effective January 1, 2026. Billing teams must access the updated DRG weights, limits, and rates from the KMAP website and review the updated Hospital Fee-for-Service Provider Manual starting on page 97.

Review updated Hospital Fee-for-Service Provider Manual starting on page 97. Monitor the KanCare Open Claims Resolution Log for MCO implementation status and reprocessing dates, as KanCare MCO implementation may vary from the effective date.
