Summary
Starting July 1, 2024, AHCCCS will deny all fee-for-service claims that include referring, ordering, or attending providers who are not registered with AHCCCS. All ROPA providers must complete AHCCCS registration or be designated as exception non-registerable providers to avoid claim denials.
Action Required
By July 1, 2024: All referring, ordering, and attending providers must register with AHCCCS through the APEP Provider Enrollment Portal or obtain exception provider designation. Billing team must verify all ROPA providers on claims are registered with AHCCCS before submission. Claims with unregistered ROPA providers will be denied starting July 1, 2024.
