Summary
Effective May 16, 2023, Alliant's prior authorization portal now has separate options for submitting non-covered Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes for members under 21. Covered and non-covered codes cannot be entered on the same prior authorization request.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update prior authorization submission workflow in Alliant portal to separate covered and non-covered CDT codes for patients under 21. Access detailed instructions at the EPSDT Dental Non-Covered Code Instructions link in Alliant's portal. Ensure staff never combine covered and non-covered codes on same PA request.
