Summary
Mississippi Division of Medicaid upgraded to HHAeXchange Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system for personal care services, with Phase 1 going live August 1, 2023 for waiver services and Phase 2 planned for December 2023 for State Plan services. Providers must complete setup forms, training, and portal access to continue billing for personal care services, in-home respite, and nursing services.
Action Required
By December 2023: Complete Mississippi Medicaid HHAeXchange EVV Provider Setup Form, attend mandatory training webinars, and set up provider portal access. Load direct care workers into the system manually or via bulk import. Providers who completed setup by October 25 receive credentials by go-live; those completing after will have 7-10 business day delay. Failure to complete EVV setup will prevent billing for personal care services, in-home respite, and private duty nursing.
