Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Update billing system to require prior authorization for HCPCS codes V2700, V2710, V2715, V2718, V2730, and V2780. Stop billing discontinued codes V2410, V2430, and V2499 as Alaska Medicaid no longer covers these services. Update adult member eligibility verification to reflect new 2-year eyeglass benefit limit instead of annual. Begin billing CPT 99070 for contact lens bandages. Ensure medical justification documentation is submitted with all contact lens and fitting claims. Contact lens fitting and frame repair reimbursement rates will change to RBRVS methodology - verify new rates on updated Vision Fee Schedule before March 3rd.
