For New Mexico providers: Update billing systems to process MAID-related services through Fee for Service Medicaid. Pharmacy claims must be billed directly to New Mexico Fee for Service PBM Conduent, not MCO Pharmacy Benefit Managers. Ensure 48-hour waiting period compliance before filling MAID prescriptions unless prescribing provider confirms patient may die before waiting period expires. Maintain written consent forms in patient health records and complete required Department of Health reporting.
