Summary
MCNA Dental is exiting Iowa's Dental Wellness Plan effective July 1, 2026, with DentaQuest replacing it as a new dental plan option. Providers must submit claims to the correct dental plan based on service dates and verify member eligibility through ELVS.
Action Required
By July 1, 2026: Billing team must update workflows to verify member dental plan assignments through ELVS before submitting claims. Claims with service dates July 1, 2026 and forward must be submitted to member's assigned dental plan (DentaQuest or Delta Dental). Claims for services prior to July 1, 2026 must still be submitted to MCNA Dental through December 31, 2027. Register for Electronic Funds Transfer with new dental plans and update provider contact information for DentaQuest (1-866-515-6981) and Delta Dental (1-888-472-1205).
