Summary
Beginning October 1, 2002, pharmacies and outpatient hospital pharmacies must bill Medicare first for certain covered drugs and supplies for participants enrolled in both Medicare and Illinois Medicaid programs. Claims will automatically cross over to Medicaid for coinsurance and deductible payment, and co-payments are waived for these specific drugs.
