Illinois Medicaid has launched an online eligibility verification system (MEDI) that allows providers to verify patient eligibility 24/7 through the internet. Providers must complete a digital certificate registration process before they can access the system.

Registration required: Billing and front desk staff must register for digital certificates at http://www.myidpa.com/ to access the MEDI eligibility verification system. Complete both digital certification and MEDI registration processes to authorize staff to perform patient eligibility inquiries. Use system to verify eligibility using patient's RIN or combination of name, date of birth, and Social Security number before submitting claims.
