Summary
Effective February 1, 2006, all non-emergency transportation claims must include the prior approval number assigned by First Transit, Inc. Claims without valid prior approval numbers will be rejected with error code X73.
Action Required
Before February 1, 2006: Billing team must update all non-emergency transportation claim forms (DPA 2209) to include prior approval numbers in the designated field. For electronic claims, enter prior approval numbers in Loop 2300, REF02. Register for PassPORT system by calling First Transit at 1-877-725-0569 (option 5) to expedite approval letters. Claims without valid prior approval numbers will be rejected with X73 error code.
