Action Required
By January 1, 2007: Nursing facility billing teams must implement quarterly Endurance/Functional Ability Assessment completion for residents on two or more restorative programs. For existing residents, complete assessment with next quarterly MDS due after January 1, 2007. For new residents starting programs on/after January 1, 2007, complete initial assessment when programs begin, then quarterly thereafter. Ensure documentation covers applicable time periods and attach relevant resident record copies to assessments.
