Summary
Illinois community mental health providers must transition from billing Therapeutic Behavioral Services and Skills Training and Development to the newly defined Community Support services. Providers automatically certified for Community Support effective July 1, 2007, with a transition period until October 1, 2007.
Action Required
By October 1, 2007: Billing team must update all treatment plans to reflect Community Support (individual and group) services instead of Therapeutic Behavioral Services or Skills Training and Development. Update billing system and encounter forms to use new service definitions. Review updated Community Mental Health Services guide at hfs.illinois.gov for reimbursement requirements.
