Summary
Starting October 1, 2007, all non-emergency transportation services for residents of long-term care facilities require prior approval from First Transit before transport occurs. Providers will not be paid for transportation services without obtaining prior authorization.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2007: All staff must obtain prior approval from First Transit before arranging any non-emergency transportation for long-term care facility residents. Contact First Transit at 1-866-503-9040, fax to 1-312-327-3854/3855, or use passPort online system at www.netspap.com. Failure to obtain prior approval will result in non-payment for transportation services.
