Summary
Illinois FQHCs and RHCs can now bill for behavioral health services provided by Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPCs) using procedure code T1015 with HO modifier. Providers must add LCPCs to their provider file and can bill retroactively to October 22, 2007.
Action Required
For Illinois FQHCs and RHCs only: Submit LCPC license copy and letter with effective date to Provider Participation Unit to add LCPCs to provider file. Once approved, bill behavioral health services using procedure code T1015 with HO modifier, detailing all services with appropriate CPT/HCPCS codes. Limit to one behavioral health encounter per patient per day. Can bill retroactively to October 22, 2007.
