Summary

340B providers enrolled with HRSA must charge HFS (Illinois Medicaid) no more than their actual acquisition cost for drugs dispensed or administered to HFS clients. Pharmacies can add appropriate dispensing fees ($3.40 for brand, $4.60 for generic) to their actual acquisition cost.

Pharmacies should ensure claims include actual acquisition cost plus appropriate dispensing fee ($3.40 brand/$4.60 generic) in NCPDP usual & customary charge field (426-DQ).
