Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has contracted with Fairbanks LLC as the single statewide vendor for School Based Health Services (SBHS) Program administrative claiming, implementing a new random moment time study methodology. All participating Local Education Agencies must transition to this new vendor and sign new intergovernmental agreements, with fees reduced from up to 10% to 4% of federal funding.
Action Required
By September 15, 2009: Submit complete list of all potential time study participants to Fairbanks LLC. By November 30, 2009: Review, sign and return new intergovernmental agreement to maintain eligibility for reimbursement. By April 15, 2010: Submit any prior period claims (before October 2009) to department. Billing teams at LEAs must transition all SBHS administrative claims to Fairbanks LLC only - no other vendors will be accepted.
