Action Required
By January 1, 2012: Billing team must upgrade all electronic transaction systems to HIPAA X12 Version 5010. Coordinate with clearinghouses and billing service providers to ensure compatibility. Failure to comply will result in rejection of electronic transactions after January 1, 2012.
