Summary

Illinois is launching the Integrated Care Program (ICP) requiring mandatory enrollment of approximately 40,000 Medicaid beneficiaries into managed care plans with Aetna Better Health and IlliniCare Health Plan. Providers serving this population in DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, Lake, Will and Suburban Cook counties must contract with these MCOs to ensure payment for enrolled patients.

Before April 1, 2011: Providers serving Medicaid patients in DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, Lake, Will and Suburban Cook counties must contract with Aetna Better Health (contact Staci Chambers at 1-866-827-2710) and/or IlliniCare Health Plan (contact Marc Barclay at 314-307-3525) to ensure payment for ICP-enrolled patients. Update billing systems to identify ICP members and route claims to appropriate MCO instead of direct Medicaid billing.
