Summary

Update workflow to obtain prior authorization for all narcotic prescriptions for patients with history of high utilization or when prescribing excessive quantities. Ensure documentation of medical necessity is available to support prior auth requests. Claims for narcotics from non-enrolled prescribers will be denied.
