Summary
Effective August 1, 2012, pharmacies dispensing blood clotting factors to Medicaid patients must have a signed Standards of Care Agreement (SOCA) on file with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Claims for blood factor without a SOCA will be rejected with the message 'Standards of Care Agreement not on File.'

By August 1, 2012: Pharmacies dispensing blood clotting factors to Medicaid patients must obtain and file a signed Standards of Care Agreement (SOCA) with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. The SOCA will be mailed to qualifying providers and available on the department's website. Contact Bureau of Pharmacy Services at 1-877-782-5565, option 7 for questions. Claims will be rejected without this agreement on file.
