Illinois Medicaid has launched a new web-based Drug Prior Approval/Refill Too Soon Entry System through their MEDI portal, allowing providers to submit drug prior authorization requests electronically instead of only by phone or fax. Providers can now track request status online using confirmation numbers.

Use the new electronic Drug Prior Approval system on the MEDI Home Page to submit drug prior authorization requests. Save confirmation numbers to track request status.
