Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Review any denied claims for pediatric patients (age 20 and under) who were receiving both hospice and curative services since July 2012 - these may now be eligible for reprocessing. Update billing workflows to allow concurrent billing of curative treatments and hospice services for children. For inpatient admissions unrelated to terminal illness, ensure payment denial letter from hospice is attached to claims before submission to Medicaid.
