Summary
Illinois All Kids program transitioned from monthly to annual medical cards in March 2013. Medical providers must always verify patient eligibility prior to providing services, regardless of whether patients have their physical card, using MEDI, REV system, or calling the AVRS toll-free number.
Action Required
Immediately: Front desk staff must verify All Kids patient eligibility before every visit using MEDI system, REV system, or AVRS at 1-800-842-1461, even if patient has their annual medical card. Do not decline services if patient lacks physical card - eligibility can be verified with patient name/DOB/SSN or RIN number.
