Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services published SFY 2014 hospital-specific Potentially Preventable Readmissions (PPR) reports with new penalty structures and calculation methods. Hospitals have one year to reduce readmissions to avoid penalties, with final penalties capped at 3% of total inpatient payments and collected as 50% of the calculated amount starting July 1, 2015.
