Immediately: Pharmacy staff must download updated alphabetic and numeric lists of approved pharmaceutical labelers from the policy notice. Ensure all drug claims use accurate 11-digit NDC numbers. Maintain purchase invoices for all drug products billed to Medicaid for audit purposes, regardless of acquisition source. Non-drug items like needles, syringes, diabetic testing supplies, lancets and ostomy items can be dispensed from any labeler.
