Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has finalized hospital inpatient and outpatient reimbursement rates effective July 1, 2014, with updated pricing calculators now available on their website. Hospitals must use these new rates for all inpatient discharges and outpatient services on or after this date.
Action Required
Immediately: Illinois hospitals must download the updated pricing calculators from the HFS Hospital Rate Reform Initiative webpage and enter their 12-digit provider ID in the specified cells (E10 for APR-DRG Calculator, E6 for EAPG Calculator). Billing teams must update their rate structures for all inpatient and outpatient claims with dates of service on or after July 1, 2014.
