Withdrawal from the Title XIX Medicaid Program

Illinois Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities can voluntarily withdraw from Medicaid participation by providing 30-day written notice to the Department of Public Health. Facilities must pay all outstanding civil money penalties before withdrawal, but their HFS Medicaid provider number and billing for services rendered will remain unaffected.
