Summary
Effective October 1, 2014, podiatric services coverage for adults has been restored to pre-2012 levels under Illinois Medicaid due to Public Act 098-0651. Coverage for children through age 20 remains unchanged as those services were not affected by the original SMART Act cuts.
Action Required
By October 1, 2014: Billing team must review the updated Podiatrist Fee Schedule on the Illinois HFS website to identify newly covered adult podiatric services.
