Summary
Illinois Medicaid increased rates for home health agencies effective July 1, 2014: all-inclusive intermittent visits now pay $72 per visit and CNA hourly services pay $20/hour, no longer subject to 2.7% SMART Act reduction. RN/LPN hourly rates remain reduced and providers must submit replacement claims if they billed at the higher rate for services after 7/1/14.
Action Required
Immediately: Home health agencies must verify they are billing CNA services at $20/hour and all-inclusive intermittent visits at $72/visit for dates of service after July 1, 2014. For RN/LPN services billed incorrectly at higher rates after 7/1/14, submit replacement claims using bill type '7' via 837P file or MEDI Provider Invoice link with corrected lower rates.
