Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services is increasing Hospital Access Payments for newly eligible ACA Medicaid patients. Hospitals will receive additional quarterly payments calculated based on their percentage of ACA inpatient and outpatient FFS Medicaid claims, paid monthly starting the 7th business day of each month.
Action Required
Hospital billing teams should monitor for additional Hospital Access Payment checks (separate for inpatient and outpatient) starting February 10th, 2015. Track payments on the HFS ACA Access Payments website which will be updated quarterly with new calculations and payment amounts.
