Summary
Effective May 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015, Illinois Medicaid will reduce reimbursement rates by 16.75% for all home health services and independent physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Providers should continue billing usual and customary charges, but payments will be reduced automatically.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should download the revised fee schedule from the HFS website to understand reduced payment expectations. Continue billing usual and customary charges as normal - no billing procedure changes required. Contact Bureau of Professional and Ancillary Services at 1-877-782-5565 with questions. Note this only affects fee-for-service Medicaid, not MCO/MCCN contracts.
