Summary
Effective May 1-June 30, 2015, dental service reimbursement rates are reduced by 16.75% due to Public Act 099-0002, except for certain preventive procedures and services provided by FQHCs, RHCs, ERCs, and LHDs. Providers should continue billing usual charges as DentaQuest will apply the reduction automatically.
Action Required
Immediately: Review revised dental fee schedule on HFS website to understand reduced reimbursement rates. Continue billing DentaQuest usual and customary charges - do not reduce billed amounts as the 16.75% reduction will be applied automatically. Note that preventive codes D0120, D1120, D1206, D1208, and D1351 are exempt from reductions.
