Summary
Illinois Medicaid is reducing reimbursement rates by 16.75% for birth centers, hospital-billed durable medical equipment, ambulance services, and reducing dispensing fees by $1.00 for services from May 1 through June 30, 2015. This temporary reduction applies only to fee-for-service Medicaid claims.

Effective May 1, 2015: Billing team must expect 16.75% reduced payments from Illinois Medicaid for birth center services, hospital-billed DME, emergency and non-emergency ambulance services, and $1.00 reduction in dispensing fees through June 30, 2015. Review revised fee schedule on HFS website. Continue billing usual and customary charges - reduction will be applied by payer. This affects only fee-for-service Medicaid, not MCO contracts.
