Summary
Starting April 27, 2026, Virginia Medicaid providers must use a new Single Sign-On process through the DMAS MES system to submit fee-for-service prior authorization requests to Acentra ANG platform. Direct access to ANG will be discontinued on June 1, 2026, making the MES portal the only method for FFS service authorizations.
Action Required
By April 27, 2026: All billing staff and providers must transition to using the new 'FFS Service Authorization' tile in the DMAS MES system for all Virginia Medicaid fee-for-service prior authorization requests. Existing MES users should access the new tile with current credentials. New users must create MES accounts. By June 1, 2026: Stop using direct Acentra ANG access completely as it will be discontinued. Ensure all staff are trained on the new MES portal process to avoid authorization delays and claim denials.
