Summary
Health Alliance is terminating its Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) plan effective December 31, 2015. Enrollees will automatically transition to fee-for-service Medicaid and Original Medicare unless they actively choose Molina's MMAI plan or a Medicare Advantage plan.
Action Required
By December 31, 2015: Billing team must update patient insurance records for all Health Alliance MMAI enrollees. Verify new coverage effective January 1, 2016 - patients will have either Molina MMAI, a Medicare Advantage plan, or fee-for-service Medicaid plus Original Medicare. Update billing system to reflect new plan types and adjust claim submission processes accordingly.
