Summary
Illinois Medicaid is transferring provider enrollment data from their new IMPACT system to the legacy billing system. Provider names on claims must exactly match the 'Doing Business As' name in IMPACT or claims will be rejected.
Action Required
Immediately: Wait to receive updated provider information sheet from Illinois HFS before making any name changes. Once received, billing team must update practice name in billing system to exactly match the 'Doing Business As' name shown on the provider information sheet. Monitor remittance advices for 'Provider Name does not match Provider Number' warnings - these will soon become claim rejections requiring resubmission.
