Summary
Illinois Medicaid pharmacy system is updating on March 26, 2017, requiring new BIN (017804) and PCN (ILPOP) numbers for all pharmacy claims. The Point of Sale system will be offline for 24 hours during the transition, and prior authorization methods are changing.
Action Required
By March 26, 2017 at 5:00 PM CDT: Pharmacy staff must update billing systems with new BIN number 017804 and PCN number ILPOP for all Illinois Medicaid claims. Hold all pharmacy claims during system downtime from March 25 5:00 PM through March 26 5:00 PM CDT. Register for new PBMS Provider Portal for prior authorization requests as web application and MEDI will no longer be available. Claims submitted with old BIN/PCN will be rejected.
