Summary
Illinois Medicaid is implementing a new Pharmacy Benefit Management System (PBMS) on March 26, 2017, requiring new BIN (017804) and PCN (ILPOP) numbers for all pharmacy claims. The POS system will be unavailable for 24 hours during the transition, and prior authorization processes are changing.
Action Required
By March 26, 2017 at 5:00 PM CDT: Pharmacy billing teams must update all claim submissions to use new BIN 017804 and PCN ILPOP. Hold all claims during system downtime March 25-26. Download updated payor sheet from Department's website. Enroll in new PBMS Provider Portal for prior authorization requests as web application and MEDI will no longer be available. Claims using old BIN/PCN will be rejected.
