Illinois nursing facilities billing for oxygen: Obtain a separate NPI number from NPPES website specifically for oxygen billing. Enroll in IMPACT system as Provider Type: LTC Facility, Specialty: Nursing Facility, Subspecialty: LTC Oxygen. Facilities with pending DME enrollments should contact IMPACT.Help@illinois.gov to modify enrollment. Use new NPI only for oxygen claims, not other DME services.
