Summary
Illinois Medicaid is retroactively paying a $60 add-on payment per renal dialysis treatment day for services from July 1, 2015 forward. The Department will automatically process retrospective payments for past claims and include the add-on in future claim adjudications.

Immediately: Billing team should monitor for automatic retrospective payments from Illinois Medicaid for all renal dialysis claims dating back to July 1, 2015. No action required for past claims as the Department will automatically identify and adjust applicable claims. For MCO encounter claims before August 5, 2017, watch for C-13 payment vouchers and detailed reports mailed to your payee address.
