Summary
Illinois Medicaid is updating hospital reimbursement components effective January 1, 2018, including Medicare wage index calculations and outlier cost-to-charge ratios for both inpatient APR-DRG and outpatient EAPG payment systems. The grouper versions will remain unchanged (APR-DRG Version 33 and EAPG Version 3.11).
Action Required
By January 1, 2018: Hospital billing teams should monitor for updated rate sheets and inpatient/outpatient calculators that the Illinois Department will provide.
