Summary
An incorrect Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) report was sent to Long Term Care providers in December 2017 containing wrong January 2018 Patient Credit amounts due to incorrect SSA benefit calculations and excluded Medicare Part B premiums. DHS caseworkers will correct the amounts automatically with no provider action required, and an automated system adjustment will fix claim pricing once corrections are made.

No action required by providers. Continue submitting claims even with incorrect Patient Credit amounts showing in the Healthcare and Family Services data system. Payments will be made based on system amounts until DHS caseworkers complete corrections and automated adjustments are processed.
