Summary
HealthChoice Illinois managed care enrollment has been postponed for dual-eligible individuals and waiver service recipients in expansion counties. These patients will continue using HFS Fee-for-Service and their HFS medical cards instead of HealthChoice Illinois health plan member IDs.

Immediately: Billing team must continue billing HFS Fee-for-Service for dual-eligible long-term care patients and waiver service recipients in Illinois expansion counties. Do not use HealthChoice Illinois health plan member IDs for these patients. Verify patient status in HFS MEDI System to confirm Fee-for-Service enrollment before billing.
