Summary
Illinois established a new provider type called Behavioral Health Clinics (BHCs) for Medicaid providers. BHCs can provide most mental health rehabilitation services except ACT and PSR, and must enroll through the IMPACT system starting July 16, 2018.
Action Required
No action required for most practices. Only providers seeking to become Behavioral Health Clinics in Illinois need to enroll through the IMPACT system and submit required administrative materials. This does not affect existing billing for other provider types.
