Summary
Illinois has temporarily restored DHS Social Services eligibility to all active participants to prevent claim rejections with error codes H01, R09, and U58. Providers should immediately rebill previously rejected claims and can request time overrides for delayed submissions within 180 days of this notice.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must rebill all claims for dates of service on or after October 1, 2017 that were rejected with error codes H01 (No DHS Service Segment), R09 (Prior Approval Required), and/or U58 (Provider Not Allowed to Bill for Service). For claims requiring time overrides due to programming delays, contact HFS Community Mental Health billing consultant at 877-782-5565 within 180 days of February 5, 2019. Verify participant eligibility via MEDI, AVRS at 1-800-842-1461, or REV vendor before submitting claims.
