Summary
The Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) program is expanding back to six additional counties in Central Illinois effective July 1, 2019, with Molina Healthcare as the sole MMAI plan provider. Full dual eligible beneficiaries in these counties will receive passive enrollment packets starting in June 2019 for September 1, 2019 coverage.
Action Required
Before July 1, 2019: Billing team must verify patient eligibility and update system to recognize Molina MMAI coverage for dual eligible patients in Christian, Logan, Macon, Menard, Piatt, and Sangamon Counties. Front desk staff should confirm patient enrollment status during scheduling as beneficiaries can opt in or out at any time.
